VOLKSFEST 2014

Newnham Park, Plympton
23th May – 26th May

FAQ

Can I arrive early?

Unfortunately we are not able to offer the option to arrive early for 2013. The gates will be open from 08:00 on Friday 24th May.
Please don’t arrive early as there will be nowhere for you to go!

I’m using sat-nav to get here, what’s the postcode?

It’s PL7 5BN

Can we bring our own alcohol?

Yes for your own consumption within the campsite. You may not bring alcohol into the arena. Please make sure that no glass is brought onto the site, as we cannot allow it. If you do arrive with glass bottles, it will have to be decanted into plastic before we can allow you on to the campsites.

What times do the gates open?

Gates open at 8am - 10pm Friday and 8am - 8pm Saturday and Sunday.

If you’ve bought a day ticket be sure to allow plenty of time to arrive before 8pm – due to licensing we have to have to operate a strict policy on this.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, but it must be kept on a lead at all times and all mess picked up straight away.

Can I camp with my friends?

Yes of course, as long as you all turn up together. Due to space restrictions we cannot reserve spaces on the day. To guarantee camping together why not book a club camping pitch?

Can you explain the camping colour codes?

We’ve split the campsite areas into different colours to make sure you get the most from your time at the festival, whether you fancy carrying on the party, or getting a bit of peace and quiet for the kids, we’ll do our best to accommodate you

Green Gate – This is ‘Festival Camping’ most commonly associated with young adults and party goers who will more than likely want to carry on the party!

White Gate – This is for the well behaved types that might not fancy lights out at midnight, but won't be annoying the neighbours either! This is also the area where the VW club camping is situated.

Blue Gate – ‘Quiet / Family Camping’ perfect for those with young families who need to get a good night’s sleep before an early start in the morning. No noise after midnight here! If you have a motor home you will also be camping in this area.

Red Gate - This is the designated car park, you will need to drop off the car before setting up your camping gear. If you havent yet bought a festival ticket you will need to come to the red gate.
