THE BAJA CLUB
|
|
In the UK
Volkswagen scene there is a Baja revival, which in 2006 led to the
launch of www.bajaclub.co.uk, the website dedicated to off-road
VWs. BajaClub launched in October 2006 and includes a very active
forum and technical articles from members. The site has grown into
a thriving club, with more than 400 members worldwide.
When the club
isn’t busy playing with their cars they organise off-roading at VW
shows. |
You may have
seen their tracks at VW Action or Plymouth Volksfest last year. If
you own a Baja, Beach Buggy, Rail, Trekker or Syncro then pay them
a visit and join in the fun!
This year at Plymouth Volksfest we will be playing on top of the
hill on both Saturday and Sunday. If you wish to join us in your
car please meet us in the main arena at the times shown below.
Once your car has been checked over by a BajaClub marshal you can
join in with the various off-road challenges.
If your VW is too low or shiny you are welcome to watch or come
for a ride with a BajaClub member. (Rides will be given for a £2
donation to the club.) Just follow the signs up the hill to the
off-road area (a 10 minute walk), or grab a lift with an off-roader.
